About the artist
Mike Behr lives with his wife, dog and cat in the Minneapolis area. He began developing his photographic eye while in high school and has been working as a professional photographer since 2003.

Statement from the artist
I find it amazing that we can spend hours staring at a single piece of art, whether it be a sculpture, a painting, a photograph, or other artistic impression. An artistic image can timelessly capture our imagination and transport us to far away places. But yet, we rarely take the time to enjoy the natural beauty surrounding us, the inspiration for the artistic image we take pleasure from. It is my goal to capture that piece of nature, that moment in time, or that fragment of our environment, that makes us all wish to be there again.

I am a fine art landscape photographer. I use a Canon 5d digital camera with a variety of professional lenses. All images are shot in RAW format at the highest possible quality and then imaged on light sensitive photographic paper or printed on canvas with archival pigmented inks.Once the photograph is made it is mounted on an acid free pressure sensitive mounting board for framing and matting or in the case of canvas, stretched onto a canvas stretcher frame to create a gallery wrapped look. All materials used in the process are archival and only the highest quality rag mats and frames are used to present the art and to meet museum quality standards. All the work is done by me and all the prints are available signed in limited editions to 250.
